Applications Open For Nonprofit Security Grants
The Governor’s administration is accepting applications to distribute up to $5 million in state grants to help nonprofit organizations and houses of worship with the costs of implementing infrastructure upgrades that improve security and safety at their facilities. The funds will come from the state’s nonprofit security grant program, established in 2021 to provide aid for security improvements for organizations at heightened risk of being targets of attacks or hate crimes. The state has provided about $10 million to organizations in the last three years. Applications are due March 1, 2024 and eligible nonprofits can receive up to $50,000 per site supporting installation of ballistic glass, surveillance cameras, doors, electronic locks and more.To learn more and pursue an application, click here.
